2024MAYORAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Soldiers Point Bowling Club is a proud sponsor of the Mayoral Academic Scholarships Programme.

SPBC Director Julie Lister and Mayor Ryan Palmer, presenting Emma Dawson
with her scholarship of $2,000, on Thursday 15th Feb 2024.

Applications for the 2025 programme will open in September 2024.

The Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship Program gives local students starting TAFE or university the opportunity to receive a $2,000 scholarship to help cover the cost of their studies.

It’s a partnership between Council and local businesses to support our next generation of business and industry leaders in Port Stephens.

The investment of one scholarship from a local business makes a big difference to a young person setting out on the next stage of their academic journey. Whether it is a year’s worth of textbooks, a laptop computer or student accommodation — this contribution goes a long way to support local students and encourage life-long learning.
